📆📆📆 On January 17, an extended meeting was held with the Council of Young Scientists of the Department of Physical and Technical Problems of Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
During the meeting, young scientists talked about the specifics of professional activity and shared their problematic issues.
The main ones include:
- low prestige of the scientific profession;
- underfunding;
- personnel rejuvenation and the reduction of the country’s scientific potential;
- a number of problems related to the order of preparation of doctors of philosophy.
🖊🖊🖊 Summarizing the results of the meeting, it became clear that scientists have adapted to some changes, come to terms with something, perceive something as commonplace. But everyone agreed on one thing that this year it is necessary to make maximum efforts to increase the prestige of the profession of a scientist among young people and to expand the work of attracting them to science in order to preserve the scientific potential of the country.
