On April 28, 2026, the first joint online meeting of representatives of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Ukraine and the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine took place.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Council of Young Scientists of the NAS of Ukraine: Chairman of the Council Oleksandr Kovalchuk, First Deputy Chairman Volodymyr Artemchuk, Deputy Chairmen Dmytro Kasperovych and Iryna Petrova, Secretary of the Council Stepan Kyrylyuk, as well as members of the Council – Kateryna Vovk, Dmytriy Nikolaychuk, Anton Rudakovskyi, Oleksiy Semko, and associated members – Oleksandr Dubrova and Kyrylo Starodubets. Representatives of the Council of Young Scientists under the MES of Ukraine also joined the meeting. Among them were the Chairman of the Council Anastasia Simakhova, Deputy Chairmen Myroslava Kalashnyk-Rybalko and Tetyana Koptyeva, as well as members of the Council – Ihor Kolomak, Khrystyna Lipyashna-Honcharenko, Volodymyr Nazarenko, Iryna Oplachko, Taras Paska, Oleksandr Torbas and Yulia Chaika.
During the meeting, the participants got to know each other, exchanged experience of the councils’ work, and discussed issues important to young scientists. They talked about financing the councils’ activities, housing opportunities for young researchers, the implementation of the MES Roadmap for integration into the European Research Area, popularization of science, and the launch of joint projects.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed on active cooperation within the framework of the state policy of supporting and developing young scientists. In particular, the importance of joining forces to create favorable conditions for professional growth, expanding opportunities for international integration, and strengthening the role of young researchers in shaping the future of Ukrainian science was emphasized. The joint work of the Councils of Young Scientists of the NAS and the MES will become a platform for the implementation of new projects aimed at supporting talented youth, developing innovative research, and increasing the prestige of scientific activity in society.
