Results of the “Best Young Scientist of the Academy” Competition in 2024

In August 2024, the start of this year’s competition was announced.

During August – October 2024, the responsible commission received applicant questionnaires. The scientific results of the contestants were reviewed according to 14 specified nominations:

🗂 This year, the Competition Commission expanded the list of nominations, adding a separate one for post-graduate students of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, where three winners from three sections of the Academy were determined, respectively.

For an impartial and objective assessment of the achievements of young scientists over the past three years (2022-2024), a group of experts worked according to specially developed criteria.

It should be noted that all the participants of the competition have worked fruitfully, publishing individual monographs, chapters in collective works, articles in specialized publications and magazines entered into international scientometric databases, registering patents, participating in various scientific research projects, testing the obtained results on international and all-Ukrainian conferences, round tables, symposia.

The evaluation results show that every young scientist of the Academy performed his research work well and is worthy of recognition. Therefore, the competition commission and a group of experts had to carefully select the highest rated applicants in the above nominations.

✅️ Leading researcher of the Institute of Mathematics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Oleksandr Oleksiyovych Pokutnyi (nomination “Information Sciences and Mathematics”);

✅️ Leading researcher of the Institute of Renewable Energy of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Olena Oleksandrivna Rubanenko (nomination “Energy”);

✅️ Junior researcher of the Institute of Ferrous Metallurgy named after Z.I. Nekrasova of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, graduate student Safronova Olena Anatoliivna (nomination “Postgraduate”);

✅️ Deputy Director of the Institute of Cell Biology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Biological Sciences Natalia Evgenivna Stasiuk (nomination “Biology”);

✅️ Senior researcher at the Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry named after V.I. Vernadsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, candidate of chemical sciences, senior researcher Shlapa Yulia Yuriivna (nomination “Nanotechnology”).
